Boskoppie Lion & Tiger Reserve

Boskoppie Lion & Tiger Reserve – Big Cats & Cubs Captured during our visit on 27 July 2026, this photographic collection takes you into the remarkable world of the big cats at Boskoppie Lion And Tiger Reserve, situated on the R34 Edenville Road near Kroonstad in the Free State. From the commanding presence of adult lions to the curiosity and innocence of young cubs, this gallery captures some unforgettable moments from a truly memorable wildlife experience. Through close-up portraits and natural moments, our photographs focus on the extraordinary eyes, expressions, colours, textures and individual character of these magnificent animals. Established in 1986, Boskoppie is a family-owned reserve and is home to several big-cat species, including lions, Bengal tigers, leopards and jaguars. The reserve offers guided experiences where visitors can learn more about these animals and see them at close range. Our visit gave us the opportunity to photograph both the powerful adults and some of the beautiful young big-cat cubs, creating a collection that ranges from imposing wildlife portraits to wonderfully expressive moments from the younger animals. For us, the experience was about more than simply taking photographs. It was an opportunity to slow down, observe these incredible animals through the lens, and preserve the details and moments that make every encounter unique. Every stare tells a story. Every cub captures the heart. Every photograph preserves a moment. 📸 WelkomBiz Photography 📍 Boskoppie Lion & Tiger Reserve – Kroonstad, Free State, South Africa 📅 Photographed: 27 July 2026 🦁 Lions • Tigers • Leopards • Jaguars • Big Cats • Cubs Boskoppie Lion & Tiger Reserve official website
